A Homesteading Dream

In the summer of 2016 we finally found an acreage of nearly 7 acres with a house big enough for our family of 7 (at the time, we were fostering our nephew) Our small 1520 square foot modular home in town was bursting at the seams and it was always our temporary home until we could build or find a home to fix up to live the dream of country living!

We sold our home by ourselves, listing privately after a couple months and put an offer in on our dream property. The house was old and dated but it was all cosmetic! We are pretty handy and crafty! We knew we could slowly make it ours! In the last year we have accomplished so much! The best part is, with selling our home we actually paid off our family vehicle loan and are living $200 cheaper a month out in the country with over double the space in the home and an amazing yard! We have so many dreams for this home we call ours! Check out just some of what we accomplished in 2016-2017
