Using my stash!

Part of my 2013 sewing resolution it to "Use my stash" and "Swallow and Snip" which both are basically the same when it comes to my choice of fabrics for this project! I purchased these 3 fabrics from StampinUp!
That's right, they have the cutest bundles of 3 that are a little larger than a fat quarter! They are super fun and I love this vintage pack I picked up a couple years ago. I have been waiting for a good project to use this and I finally did.
I joined Craftsy, which has now become an addiction. I have enrolled in a handful of free classes and after purchasing 2 classes and earning some more points I earned a free class! I chose Beginner Serging. I purchased a serger a couple years ago and am completely self taught so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to learn my machine and actually get some good use out of it! I have made some projects with my serger but only basic things like my Mommy's Covered nursing cover, Chalk mats, and Paci clips... Anyway... Let me tell you! I love Amy Alan's class! She is an excellent teacher and I have learned so much! I can't believe the versatility of my machine and all I can create! I am already planning some fun projects... But taking it slowly right now with the projects she has taught us to make.
So here is my first of 3 projects for the class... I LOVE it! I can't wait to make more of these adorable bags!
The first project, this one is "Exposed Zipper Bags" the second is a adorable ruffle apron and the last a fun scarf!
I can not wait to try the next couple, I made a rather large order from Fabric.com and Joann.com today with some new fabrics for a few quilts I am going to be starting and some fun new threads and toys! I am very excited to get them in!
