My New Project...

So my new project has been designing SVG files for SCAL Software(Sure Cuts A Lot) for your Cricut machine. I have pretty much always loved graphic design and creating is another love of mine so I put them together to create some SVG files.
I have started an Etsy store where I will be adding SVG's...

I purchased the SCAL software when it came out a while back, then I upgraded to SCAL 2 about a year ago or so... I love using my Cricut cartridges, Provo Craft has so many amazing images and fonts to choose from but I also like to do custom projects here and there with my SCAL software.

Check out Two Dollar Designs
Here is a sample of what I have been creating and designing....

My Pink Stamper Challenge

I often follow Robin's blog and I follow her on facebook too. She has announced she is looking for two members for her design team and her is her challenge...

"Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using my favorite colors......Pink, Green, Brown, (other optional color of your choice)"

My entry is a card I whipped up :)

Recipe:
Dark Pink Card Base
Scraps of cardstock (dark pink, light pink, green and brown)
5x3 designer paper
4 1/4 x 3 1/2 Green Cardstock
Ribbon (brown)
adhesive and dimensionals
Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge

Instructions
Step 1
For this card I placed my green cardstock and designer paper on my scored and folded card base and then added my ribbon.
Step 2
Next I placed my scrap card stock pieces on my mat. I cut the strawberry using brown for the shadow, dark pink for the strawberry body, light pink for the cheeks and green for the stem and leaves. (tip: for more dimension ink the edge of your strawberry with pink ink)
Step 3
After that I used "fit to length" and dialed my size to 4" to be sure my words would fit my card. I cut the shadow of the word in brown and then the word in light pink and dark pink. When putting my word together I centered the light pink on the brown and then offset the dark pink on top for a different effect.
Step 4
Assemble card using dimensionals for the strawberry and share with a special friend :)

A simple easy card to make with paper from your scrap box!

Cricut Classes

Last winter I had done a little Sunday afternoon Cricut Expression class for some ladies who had Cricut Expression machines but had no clue how to use them other than the basics.
Most of the ladies found my little class very helpful and so my friend asked me if I would be interested in doing the class again but doing a more detailed one so I came up with this little 4 session deal that I am going to teach. I am in no way affiliated with Cricut or Provo Craft or Make the Cut and SCAL software but I just love
sharing what I love and helping ladies use the tools and machines they use make the cuts and projects they want to. Enjoy! Stay tuned for online video tutorials, projects and more!!
